This Week at Babe’s: October 26-November 1
Welcome to the new week! We’ve lost track of what day it is over here because this will be the second Monday in a row we’ve done a special opening for the WNBA Finals! We’re opening from 6-10 tonight to watch game 5, $10 and BYO-dinner as always! And if you haven’t seen the breaking (and dumb) news yet, game 6 of the finals, which could be the deciding game!!!!, has been moved to 11:30 AM on Thursday the 29th. We will be opening at 9AM and slinging coffee and matcha and breakfast goodies, we have outlets and wifi for anyone who wants to WFBabes! More info coming soon, this news came out literally an hour ago and we’re still getting everything set 🫠
WE’VE GOT YOUR HALLOWEEN PLANS!
Join us on Saturday for our first drag performance at Babe’s, hosted by one of our very own bartenders aka Lil’ Dabby. We’ll have a costume contest at intermission, with categories including:
Best duo/trio
I hate gay Halloween, what do you mean you’re…
Sporty drag (for sporty costumes, drag looks, and any combo of the two)
Craftiest costume
AND MORE TO BE ANNOUNCED!
There are still some early bird tickets left, grab em while you can!
We’ll also be watching Dancing With the Stars on Tuesday and Survivor on Wednesday, on Saturday if the WNBA finals go to Game 7 we’ll be hosting a big championship watch party on Saturday at 7PM (yes, on Halloween. It’s almost like they don’t care about women’s sports). Sunday you can drag your Halloween-hangover to Babe’s for NWSL Decision Day, when the playoffs bracket will be finalized (sadly for our Stars we’re already eliminated so let us know which games you want to see on the screens in the comments or email).
All of this tomfoolery with the WNBA finals schedule reminds me how much progress still needs to be made for women’s sports to thrive - and you being on this newsletter list is a sign that you’re in the fight with me, so thank you for being here and I hope to see you at Babe’s soon!!!
