Welcome to FALL at Babe’s! We’re so excited to post up in front of the TVs and cheer for some college sports! We have some fun activities planned throughout the month, most notably our CRAFTERNOONS on the 7th and 28th. You buy the drinks, we provide the crafts! Read on for details, including how to join us for book club and our CONSPIRACY THEORIES pitch night.
🏀🏐⚽️ We’ll be streaming all of the college volleyball and basketball we can play (there are some streaming restrictions for us so if there’s a game you want to watch make sure it’s on our schedule or request it). We’re hosting a watch party on Sunday the 15th with Hoop Social for the South Carolina vs USC game at 1PM - join us!! College volleyball will have their championships in early December and we’ll watch the Big 10 and and SEC tournaments at the end of the month. Our Stars FC might be done for the season but we’re calling all NWSL fans to join us for the championship on the 21st!
🎨✂️ Colder weather means indoor activities! Join us on Saturday the 7 for CLAY PLAY and get one color of polymer clay with every drink purchase from 2PM-supplies run out. Mix and match colors with new friends and make tiny creatures to take home and bake! Saturday the 28th will be a COLLAGE PARTY and we’re working with a local publication to add some civic engagement to the mix, stay tuned.
📚🎤 We love growing our brains at Babe’s and have two opportunities in the same week for more of that. We’re bringing back PITCH NIGHT as a recurring series, and kicking it off with CONSPIRACY THEORIES on Dec. 19. We’re also hosting our first book club meeting in collaboration with Matchmaker Books on the 22nd (thanks to everyone who joined us for the boozy book fair! There will be more!). Our first book is A Sharp Endless Need and you can sign up for the book club here.
🍗🥧 We’ll be closed on Thanksgiving Day, but will be open on Wednesday and Friday for anyone who’s in town and wants a nice place to hang <3 Stay tuned for our Friendsgiving Sign Up and join us in your comfy clothes for a movie marathon on Friday the 27th!
🗓️⏭️ We already have some fun planned for December! We loved Babe’s acting as a co-working space during “Babe’s Cafe” so we’re bringing it back on Friday, December 11! Join us for coffee, matcha, and laptop time. We’re also starting a monthly queer party series called VARSITY CLUB on the second Saturday of the month, starting December 12 🪩 More coming soon for both events, make sure you mark your calendar now!
