Make your plans to be at Babe’s this month!
Happy spring from Babe’s! It seems like we might *finally* be out of false spring and into actual spring - and we’re getting our patio ready for *actual* summer! I’m writing this from the patio while some of the Babe’s street team members that are handy with a power tool (I’m at the computer which is where I belong) build the pergolas that will provide some shade and coverage year round - get ready for some exciting changes out here and keep your eyes peeled for the patio re-opening party! Until then, we have a lighter programming schedule but still want to see you at the bar! Some shoutouts of dates to put on your calendar:
💻 Tuesday the 15th we’re hosting another Personal Admin Night, which has turned into a really sweet monthly event - bring your laptop, a craft you’re working on, a stack of thank you letters you’ve been meaning to write, whatever it is that would be helpful to spend a few hours on (it wasn’t intentional that we chose Tax Day this month but if you are down to the wire we’ll be here for the emotional support).
🍩🪈 We’re closed on 4/20 but planning to pregame the big day on Sunday 4/19 with some morning cinnamon roll munchies from Brie’s Cuisine, and then a ceramics pop up from Made by Ale - they had an assortment of mugs and bowls on Queer Soup Night that were a hit, make sure you get here in time to get your own handmade piece!
🚌🏉 USA Rugby plays Canada in their third match in the Pacific Four series at SeatGeek Stadium on Friday 4/24 and we’re going to cheer IRL! Join us by sitting in the Babe’s section at the stadium and/or riding the party bus there and back with the Babe’s crew.
🍔🌮 We’re continuing our food pop-ups on Wednesdays with a new guest, Mom’s Chicago, who will be grilling out on the patio on 4/22, and Kite String Taquitos will be back with their delish vegan queso and more on 4/29!
🏀⚽️🏈🏉 It’s about to be the overlapping sports season of our dreams - the WNBA kicks off at the end of the month, the Stars will have more games after taking a break for international friendlies, the Winds have a few road games that we’ll be streaming with the Winds WAGS, and in May our Women’s Elite Rugby team the Tempest will begin their second season! Catch all of the games at Babe’s and stay tuned for more outings to cheer in person.
